Recent Upgrades
*Done 2021-2022 - minimal use since completed, in storage last couple years
Sails and rigging
Replaced all sails (~$17,000): new Doyle composite square-top mainsail with stack pack, genoa, spinnaker and lazy jacks - only sailed with the new sails twice, and the spinnaker hasn't been used yet, so they’re all virtually new
Replaced all running rigging with Dyneema lines
Replaced the mainsail track with a teflon-coated track and new rollers
Converted to a single-line reefing system for the main, and added a third reef
Added a bowsprit and a halyard for a screecher (we haven’t purchased a screecher yet - there’s also a spinnaker halyard)
Set up for single-handing, with all lines coming to the helm
Powertrain
Replaced stock fuel filter housings with Racor housings
Replaced both engines’ alternators
Replaced both engines’ black boxes (ECMs/Engine Control Modules) ($2,000)
Added Ambassador Marine Rope Strippers to the props ($1200)
Hull and deck
Painted the hulls gray ($12,000)
Replaced the stock steel lifelines with Dyneema
Canvas
Replaced the bimini cover and added a full helm enclosure
Replaced all the cockpit cushions
Matched them all to the stack pack with gray Sunbrella
Replaced the anchor with a Spade brand anchor ($900)
Electrical
Added a 48-volt Mastervolt lithium battery bank, in preparation for installing OceanVolt electric motors, and to feed the house bank ($20,000)
New 12-volt AGM battery house bank, with all the converters, controllers, new wiring, etc.
Replaced all bilge pumps and added an extra in each hull
Electronics
New Equipment (~$30,000):
Garmin Radar
Garmin AIS 800 transceiver
GPSMAP 8616xsv 16" chart plotter and NavPod at the helm (also has the stock Garmin chart plotter at the nav station)
Garmin Wireless Masthead Wind Indicator
Garmin VHF with mics/speakers at the nav station and helm
Replaced all but one of the Garmin auto-pilot components
Onboard wi-fi network
Cell & wi-fi extenders added to the mast
Iridium GO w/YB3i tracker
EPIRB
Dinghy
2020 Highfield Classic 310 (10' 2”), Hypalon/Aluminum RIB ($4,800)
2020 Yamaha 4-cycle 20hp w/electric start ($4,000)
Equipment purchased but not yet installed
(Selling separately but could work into a deal)
Atlantic Towers Super Sail Arch "Tower In A Box" ($7,000 new) - we bought this arch to replace the existing davits (to get the dinghy further off the water, for offshore), to mount rigid solar panels on, and for kayak/paddle board storage - note that last year I removed the bubble wrap from the arch and noticed that it has a partially broken weld in one spot - not sure if that was a factory defect or happened during shipping, but it should be a quick and inexpensive fix
9 Solara Power M Series (S 460M35) walk-on, flex solar panels ($11,000 new) ready to install on the coachroof
Seawater Pro water maker ($4,200 new)
New water heater - note that it was discounted because it has a crack in the plastic housing
